Damien Rice and Vienna Teng
If somehow you haven't heard Damien Rice's second album '9', you must check out the single "9 Crimes" with Lisa Hannigan adding to the vocals. You might remember Damien Rice from his music's inclusion in the movie 'Closer' starring Natalie Portman, Clive Owen, Julie Roberts, and Jude Law and in its trailers. That song was "The Blower's Daughter" from 2003's 'O' which is also amazing.
Speaking of Damien Rice, here is the most beautiful cover I believe I've ever heard. Ever. It is of his song "Cannonball" from 'O'. This version is performed by Vienna Teng, who I had the privilege of seeing perform this (in a very intimate setting) two nights in a row.

FrankMusik
So, I'm doing my weekly iTunes Music Store review and I always check out the New Releases (general and electronic). I came across this in electronic which is kinda surprising considering most (3 of the 4 on the iTunes EP) of their songs sound like a cooler version of Hellogoodbye! but this one is much much cooler.

This sounds like The Killers fused with Devo! Be careful on his label's MySpace site, linked above, and on his remix only MySpace page, they may give you seizures. Of course, I'm not the only one who found this.
Big Stereo posted on them last week. Big Stereo and I like different songs; he likes "Confusion Girl" which I suppose is more their style.

Cool sexy songs to check out
So, one of my specialties is in this type of chillout/lounge/downtempo music.
Here is my 'sexy time' iMix with all of the following songs or go one by one if you want (after the jump). Once at the iTunes Music Store, you can listen to any of the songs for 30 seconds and decide to buy one, a few, or all. The last song "Hayling" is one of my all-time favorites in this genre and the first one I'll add to any playlist I'm building for any situation that requires this sound. The Nouvelle Vague track is featured in the end credits and on the soundtrack of "A Mighty Heart" the movie about Daniel Pearl starring Angelina Jolie (good movie), and is a rediscovered gem that I forgot I had.
